Hunter Valley Wine Tasting Tour Experience New Castle

The Hunter Valley Tour welcomes you for a guided tour of the vineyard and a tasting  of our Bergerac wines (guided tours only in July & August). We also offer activities and entertainment . 

The area is accessible to people with reduced mobility and is labeled "Tourism and Handicap". For years, we have been "Welcome to the farm" and members of the "wine route" for lovers of local products. We are also labeled "Vineyards & Discovery" and since 2019 we have been recommended by the "backpacker".

We provide you with a shaded picnic area , a motorhome area , a children's area in our shop.

Wine Tourisms: Activities And Entertainment

Through our Tour of the Vineyard and Tasting , come and touch our passion and taste our wines.  After a guided walk in our vineyards and our cellar, you will  taste our wines associated with local products (only in July & August) .

In 2020, we are adapting our visit and our tasting management to guarantee you compliance with barrier gestures and health rules.

To discover our vineyard, our wines and our nature in a different way, we offer various  Activities & Animations. With family, friends or as a couple, you will find the activity that suits you to have a good time!

More than ever adapted this year 2020:

Geocaching  on the theme of Wine Tasting Tours and wine (all year round, every day, without reservation)

Winegrower picnic (June to September, Monday to Friday, by reservation)
Electric bike ride + visit + picnic (June to September, Monday to Friday, by reservation)
Gourmet evening at the farm: canceled in 2020

    
We offer a guided tour which breaks down into 4 main parts:

- The vine : 2 options are possible:
  • or a loop of 2.5 kilometers with the possibility of a seat in the first quarter of the course (shaded picnic tables). This option has several height differences and walking in the rows of vines.
  • or a loop of 250 meters around the buildings, with easier crossing (path or road, gentle slope)
- The Chai (single storey and accessible to all)

- Packaging and storage rooms (on one level and accessible to all)

- The tasting room (on one level and accessible to all)

The visit is carried out by the manager of the estate who will adapt to your needs, your expectations, your availability, your constraints... in a good mood! It will rely on the 5 senses to offer you a service, we hope, that meets your expectations!

Discover the secrets of wine in 2 hours. Once at the Château, visit our cellars with the oenologist! Take part in the activity “awakening the senses” and try to recognize the smells & aromas of wine. Follow up on the discovery workshop for dry white wines to taste  the different production processes for white wines in Bordeaux, then finish with the discovery workshop  for red wines by tasting wines from the softest to the most robust. 2 hours dense and rich for your taste buds!

In the charming world of  New Castle, a moment of sharing between parents and children around an original and interactive activity. In the program :

Awakening the senses , where we will play as a family guessing tastes and recognizing aromas...
Treasure hunt in the vines (or drawings… according to age) and snack  for children .
Introduction to tasting dry white and red wines for adults.
