Eye diagnosis is essentially the study of reflected tissue physiology, constitutional types and psychological tendencies.

It makes use of other parts of the eye as well as the Iris including the pupil, the sclera, the conjunctiva and the retina. As the study and the analysis of the neuro-optic reflexes, eye diagnosis is the art and science of revealing physiological, structural and emotional states in the human body and psyche.

As with any system of diagnosis, analysis of the eye reflexes, should not be looked upon as a complete science and as such signs seen in the eye reflect disorders and condition tendencies in other parts of the body and can be complimentary to other diagnostic means.

The study of structures within the eye can be used to determine ones genotype (inherited) characteristics and ones phenotype (acquired) characteristics.

Eye diagnosis is particularly useful in observing functional systems within the body and is a relatively accurate means of assessing the following;

  • Spinal function and integrity.
  • The nature of sympathetic and parasympathetic influences on the psyche and organ physiology.
  • The acid/base economy and its relationship to digestive/elimination function of the gastro intestinal tract.
  • The efficiency of the lymphatic system in relation to assimilation, distribution and restoration in tissues.
  • Glandular dominance and potency towards metabolic activity, temperature regulation and hormonal balance.
  • Cardio respiratory function including the efficiency of major circulatory pathways and respiratory tissue.
  • Glycaemic and hepatic function in relation to blood sugar balance and detoxification pathways.

This practice employs modern fiber optic microscopy to accurately asses various pigments, tissue and vascular structures of the eye that reflect functionality of systems within the body in relation to health.

A detailed assessment can be part of an initial health appraisal process and is periodically utilized as part of ongoing monitoring of a patients health progress.
