Recently I was introduced to a beautiful cook book – The Kundilini Cook Book. The reason I love it so, is that it is a very playful and imaginative approach to cooking. The cook is instructed to add one handful of this and one pinch of that – hands are the measuring cup for all ingredients!

Our last Monday cooking class was on herbs and I was delighted to show our participants all of the different herbs in our kitchen garden, many hidden in the incredible growth we have had with all of the rain. Each person choose the herb they would like as a cup of tea, and the resulting aromas in the community room was just wonderful.

Herbs and spices was presented by Melynda, Melissa and our new team member Daniel. The table was set with delicate bunches of flowers and herbs from our garden and a decoration of many medicinal and culinary herbs was displayed close by. All these herbs could be found and grow easily in this region.
